Careers and Vacancies
Vacancies
We’re always looking for qualified, talented and ambitious vets, nurses and front of house specialists to join the St David team.
We encourage our team to pursue further qualifications, and many of them have done just that, giving you great mentors to learn from. That said, we know that the only way to continue to provide the best care is to continue to invest in our team and in our surgeries.
There’s a great bond within the team, which includes our regular awards night, where colleagues can share what they really think of each other, with best tea maker and craziest Covid hair cut being two of our favourite categories!
Both of our branches are in nice, local areas and of course Cardiff centre is only a short distance away, making this a great location to base yourself to explore Wales!

Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location Situated in the city of Cardiff, South Wales
Salary Based on Experience, 35-40 hours/week (£11.06 -£13.14)
About Us
We are a busy 2 branch, PSS accredited practice, and we are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking, small animal nurse to join and expand our team.
We are a first opinion practice that prides itself on good patient care, and we see a very varied caseload. We have access to in-house laboratory equipment, ultrasound, digital x-rays (including dental x-rays), and anaesthetic monitoring equipment, such as pulse oximeters and capnographs. We have also just obtained a brand-new therapeutic laser. We have certificate holders within the nursing teams, and encourage further learning and CPD.
About the Role
Small animal practice with 10 full- and part-time Vets, 10 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 2 ANAs. The ideal candidate would be a good team player who is enthusiastic and passionate about Veterinary care.
The role involves a variety of duties, including monitoring of anaesthetics, performing radiographs, taking blood pressures, cytology, in-patient care, and keeping PSS standards. We pride ourselves on the numerous nurse clinics we offer, and we encourage ideas to keep moving the practice forward.
The rota is a 35–40-hour week, which can be worked as a 4- or 5-day week, with a 1 in 10 Saturday morning rota. There is no out-of-hours requirement, as this is provided by our neighbouring hospital.
The role will work between St. David’s two sites, which are just over two miles apart in the Capital of Wales, giving easy access to the scenic valleys and coastline of South Wales. We encourage our team to have a good work-life balance.
Our Offer to You
